This wonderful newly built ‘green’ home in the sought after coastal village of Thornham, North Norfolk has four bedrooms, three bathroom, a wonderful stylish interior, off road parking for up to four cars and a lovely enclosed garden. It is just a few minutes walk from the fabulous sandy beach at Thornham as well as the numerous superb eateries in the village including Marco Pierre Whites ‘The Lifeboat’ and the renowned ‘Orange Tree’.

This large detached house has recently been designed and built by its charming owners for use as their own second home but also with the luxury holiday letting market in mind. The finished effect is a house that oozes both style and practicality and the care and attention-to-detail the owners have put in to the property is evident to see throughout. It really is an ideal coastal retreat all year round being both light and airy in the summer with the large bi-folding doors bringing the outside in, and warm and cosy in the winter with the log burning stove, underfloor heating and lovely, comfy soft furnishings in warm fabrics. With its good sized enclosed garden and parking for three cars, we are certain The Coast House is going to be extremely popular and advise early bookings to secure a stay there.
The main entrance door opens under an open-fronted wooden porch, into the entrance lobby which has a large cupboard on one side for coats, wellies and shoes and a w.c. on the other. This lobby opens in to the fantastic, light and bright main living area of the property. Split in to three sections this huge room incorporates the kitchen, dining area and comfy sitting area.
Wonderful, huge, open plan living space.
The stylish modern kitchen has a lovely beechwood work-surface, plenty of room for storage and a large island unit. It is incredibly well equipped with an electric range cooker with halogen hob, integrated under unit fridge, freezer and dishwasher, integrated wine fridge and microwave and all of the other mod cons you would expect in a high end holiday home. The dining area has a large farmhouse style table that can comfortably seat 10 sitting in front of the wonderful bi-folding doors that open on to the decked area of the garden – these doors are a real feature of the house and bring the outside in on sunny summers days. The sitting area has two lovely comfy sofas in front of French doors and a wall mounted LED T.V. with Sky.
There is a separate cosy sitting room beautifully furnished with comfy sofas and armchairs clustered around the wood burning stove. With its wooden floor and tasteful accessories, this room has a calm and relaxing ambience for intimate get-togethers and the large LED TV has Sky and a DVD player; great for relaxing evenings at home. There is also a useful separate utility room on the ground floor, this is in the same style as the kitchen with washing machine, tumble drier and door to the back garden.
Lovely comfortable bedrooms with luxurious styling.
The stairs with with their large feature window lead to the first floor hallway off which are the four bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom is really spectacular, opened up to the eaves and with its huge floor to ceiling windows, there is another bi-folding door that opens on to a balcony overlooking the quiet country lane. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a lovely, luxurious rain shower. The second bedroom has a kingsize zip and linked bed which can be made into twin beds on request. The third bedroom again has a kingsized zip and linked bed which can be made into twin beds on request (please give us at least 2 weeks notice on the zip and linked beds). The fourth bedroom is a lovely large room with three single beds in it. All of the bedrooms are most attractively decorated each with their own individual style, have plenty of storage and continue the luxurious feel of the house. The family bathroom has a large double slipper bath, w.c. and wash basin.
Outside to the rear od the property there is a good-sized lawned area and a large decked area wooden table, chairs and Barbeque for alfresco dining. The garden is a real sun-trap and not overlooked so great for sunbathing.
We think this fantastic house is one of the best large self-catering holiday lets on the market offering the best of all worlds in terms of practical, stylish and luxurious living.
