Dinky Cottage is quite possibly the ultimate bijou bolt-hole! Reportedly ‘the smallest house in England’ this tiny little cottage on the North Norfolk Coast has been superbly renovated to ingeniously make use of the limited space available and has been stylishly finished throughout to the highest of standards. Dinky Cottage is ideal for people looking for a luxurious coastal bolt-hole on a budget!
Just yards from the famous Quayside in the traditional coastal Norfolk village of Blakeney, Dinky Cottage is located in a quiet spot down a pretty ‘loke’ just off the High Street in close proximity to all of Blakeney’s many amenities. These include The White Horse pub (25 metres) for superb locally sourced food and booze and the wonderful bistro restaurant The Moorings (30 metres) in the evening and Blakeney Delicatessen (50 metres) for fresh coffee and croissants in the mornings!
The property consists of one open plan space with a separate shower room. The main living area has been beautifully finished and consists of a well equipped kitchen with a granite worktop with inset double halogen hob, microwave/convection oven/grill, small fridge freezer and mini dishwasher as well as kettle, toaster etc. There is a table that folds out from the wall with two stools to make a lovely little dining area and a super comfy sofa that can be pulled out in to a double bed if required. The good sized LED Smart T.V is wall mounted and the BluRay DVD player is cunningly integrated. As with all Blakeney Cottage Company properties Dinky Cottage has free unlimited WIFI.
Up a ladder from the main living area is the ‘bed deck’ which consists solely of a double bed. This bed deck has very limited head room and the climb up the ladder is unsuitable for the less mobile so… if you think you would prefer to use the sofa bed do let us know and we will leave the linen out for you. If you decide that you would prefer to use the sofa bed after your arrival please feel free to use the linen from the ‘bed deck’.
The surprisingly spacious shower room has a good sized corner power shower, basin and toilet. The owner has cleverly managed to fit a washing machine in a cupboard in the shower room so no fear if you do come back in from a good muddy walk! Up a small ladder from the living area is a stable door that opens out on to Dinky Cottages pleasant shingle courtyard garden, so unusual for a small property in such a central location. This is lovely space, which also has side access, has a table and chairs and a Jamie Oliver BBQ so perfect for enjoying drinks and alfresco cooking and eating.
Because of its size Dinky Cottage is very reasonably priced considering its incredibly high standard of accommodation and how superbly equipped it is not to mention its superb location in this gem of a Norfolk village. We think Dinky Cottage is a complete one of a kind and are very excited to have such a special little property on our portfolio. We are sure you will love it as much as we do!
