Sitting in a quiet location just off ‘The Fairstead’ in Cley-next-the-Sea, Masons Yard is in an enviable position; just tucked away from the bustle of the main village street yet within a short walking distance of all of its amenities and its famous beach. Like all Blakeney Cottage Company properties ‘Masons Yard’ offers free WIFI to guests.

Contemporary Style with a Homely Feel

IMG_5205Masons Yard is comfortable, warm and welcoming throughout and all finished in a fantastic contemporary style. It has that real ‘home from home’ feel which is so important in self catering accommodation.


The large kitchen/dining room has been opened up to the eaves and has large glass sliding doors which, when opened, really do let the outside in giving this room a lovely open, airy feel. The high quality kitchen is fully integrated and very well equipped with a brushed stainless steel double oven and halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave and all of the other mod cons you would expect. There is plenty of storage space in the gorgeous painted dresser and the granite worktops and splash-backs really finish off the wonderful kitchen area. The hand painted farmhouse style dining table can comfortably seat six and there a comfy occasional chairs dotted around the room making this very stylish space perfect for cooking, eating and relaxing!

20141024_113341The kitchen/dining room opens into the large, comfortable sitting room. This room features a Samsung LED TV with  Freeview and a DVD player, there is a HIFI with ipod connectivity and a selection of books and games for quiet nights in. The stylish soft furnishings in the sitting room are lovely and comfy and with the introduction of a new wood-burning stove in the fire place before winter kicks in this room will be wonderfully cosy and inviting.

IMG_5087Through from the sitting room is the spacious hallway off which are the three bedrooms, the family bathroom and the utility cupboard which houses the washing machine. The master bedroom features a wooden framed bed, lovely en-suite shower room with a fantastic frosted glass sliding door and large glass sliding doors that open out on to a small, pretty external area to the rear of the property. The second double bedroom has an iron framed bed and the twin room again has lovely quality iron framed beds. The whole house is full of lovely artworks and stylish touches throughout – we especially like the ‘Foxy’ theme in the twin bedroom! The good sized family bathroom continues Mason Yards stylish contemporary themes and features a fantastic deep bath tub.

Gorgeous landscaped gardens

IMG_5110Externally Masons Yard has lovely landscaped gardens surrounding it. The area to the front of the property is a real sun-trap and there are two lovely raised flowers beds filled with a variety of wild flowers, herbs and fruits like strawberries which together give colour and fragrance throughout the year! There is an external table and chairs with parasol perfect for alfresco dining and deckchairs ideal relaxing a soaking up the sun with a nice glass of wine! There is a pedestrian gateway to the rear of the gardens that leads to a footpath that gives guests DSC_0064at Masons Yard quick and direct access to the heart of the village and all of its pubs, shops and galleries as well as the fabulous shingle beach. Masons Yard has private off road parking for two cars.
