Set in a tranquil location just in front of the pretty church on the hill in Salthouse ‘The Lookout’ has magnificent sea views from most rooms and from the imaginatively decked garden. Peacefully tucked-away off the coastal road yet just a few minutes stroll from the beach, famous bird-watching marshes and all of the amenities that the picturesque coastal village of Salthouse has to offer, ‘The Lookout’ really offers ideal self-catering holiday accommodation.

This very well-appointed cottage, previously owned by a world-renowned celebrity fisherman, and has been newly renovated to an extremely high standard by its current owners; a well-respected interior designer and the author of ‘Samphire Coast’ (out 2011). They formerly set up and ran an award winning boutique B&B in the area so know exactly what our discerning guests are looking for.

The deluxe accommodation comprises of two bedrooms both of which are en-suite and luxury toiletries are included.

Bedroom 1, with its dramatic beamed vaulted ceilings, has a sumptuous, contemporary king-sized four poster bed with memory foam mattress, walk-through dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with sea views featuring a romantic iron slipper bath. Bedroom 2 looks out over the courtyard has a retro- contemporary double iron bed with memory foam mattress and a gorgeous state of the art shower-room. Both bedrooms have LCD T.V’s with Freeview.

Upstairs there is the study/‘lookout’ with a desk in front of the window looking out at the sensational sea-views… there is also extra storage space up in this room.

The contemporary 1950’s inspired kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, fan assisted oven, hob, toaster, microwave and large retro fridge-freezer and microwave. This opens on to the large panelled living room with high vaulted ceilings which has been imbued with a stylish vintage, nautical chic. There are spectacular sea views on the coastal side and views over the courtyard up to the church on the inland side. The living room provides absolute comfort with a large bespoke Chesterfield sofa set beside a Scandinavian log wood-burner for cosy nights in. The sea views can even been enjoyed when sat at the dining table!

A 32” large flat-screen TV with FreeSat, music centre with IPOD dock and DVD player are provided as well as free WIFI.

Open the French Doors from the living room onto the wonderful sundeck and once again one is struck by the amazing sea views. With glass balustrades and steel nautical rigging reminiscent of an ocean liner this area is perfect for alfresco dining on summery evenings. There is also off-street parking for two cars.

Salthouse is a delightful coastal Village that is becoming more and more popular with visitors to the area. It has a wonderful pub ‘The Dunne Cow’ owned by the same people as ‘The White Horse’ in Blakeney and ‘The George’ in Cley and a Village Shop/Deli which amongst other things sells beef locally reared on the Salthouse salt marshes that has a unique and delicious flavour. There is also the famous Cookies Crab Shed that sells local seafood both to eat in or takeaway and numerous spots renowned for bird watching as well as the popular beach.
