Tillers Adrift is a characterful traditional brick and flint Cottage nestling at the end of a scenic ‘loke’ in the very heart of Blakeney village. We have been really fortunate to have been associated with this property for a considerable number of years during which time our guests have requested many repeat visits. The location is perfect, just a stones throw from the Quay, and, the excellent facilities Blakeney has to offer, however, its real charm is the welcoming interior. One rather famous guest commented that ‘the house really envelopes you in its warmth’ – a view many have echoed.
The owners have taken particular care to provide every comfort and the furnishings, antiques and accessories reflect this. The accommodation is spacious with two double bedrooms complete with antique brass bedsteads with high quality mattresses. This property also has the added advantage of both a downstairs bathroom and an upstairs shower room. The drawing room has comfy sofas arranged around the log fire a LCD TV and DVD. Candles adorn the room and the dining table overlooks a pretty walled garden where passion flowers and honeysuckle abound – (great for alfresco meals or just relaxing on a summer’s evening sipping a drink). Having any outside space in Blakeney is a bit of a rarity – Tiller’s Adrift has both a back and a front garden!
The kitchen has a ‘ Stanley’ range which provides both cooking and heating facilities. Many a hearty breakfast is enjoyed here before bracing walks on the marshes. A complete package of washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave is provided too. The owners, are happy to accommodate a well behaved dog with our permission at the time of booking. Parking is available just a hundred yards further up the high street. We are afraid that Tillers is not suited to Children but well behaved dogs are welcome.
