The ground floor consist of a large, sylish, well-equipped kitchen opened up to the wonderfully coloured dining area which has a large pine table suitable for family meals and dinners with friends. Off this room at the front of the house is a large, sunny twin bedded room with original fire place. There is also a shower room on the ground floor, a useful utility room with a washer/dryer and double doors leading out to the lawned back garden with table and chairs for alfresco dining!
Stairs lead up from the dining area to the first floor sitting room which is decorated with a lovely coastal theme, this is very fitting when standing at the Juliet balcony looking at the most wonderful 180 degree views over salt marshes to the sea. In the evenings there is large TV with freeview, lots of board games, books and DVDs. At the front of the house above the twin room is a large, elegant double bedroom with its original fireplace. There is also another shower room on this floor.
Up to the second floor where there are 3 single beds along with plenty of children's games including a small snooker table and its own little bathroom. Paradise for the youngsters - peace for the parents!
The property has off street parking in its own drive for 2 cars and from the back garden a gate leads down to the coastal path so the heart of Blakeney village can be accessed from here on foot.
All in all Old Whelk House is a superb example of a family holiday home in Blakeney. With breathtaking coastal views and a good sized garden it offers everything a family or group of friends could possibly need when on holiday in North Norfolk.
