A unique property in a quiet lane, Morston Barn offers breathtaking, spacious accommodation to families and groups of friends. Comfortably sleeping 10 in five bedrooms, this is a peaceful location which benefits from being just a few minutes stroll from the centre of the village and the Quay. It is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful coastal villages of Morston, Blakeney and Cley, as well as visiting the neighbouring Michelin starred Morston Hall.
Spacious Living
The luxurious living space boasts high ceilings and an airy, open plan feel. This is thanks to the property’s original purpose as a working barn, and beautiful original features like open beams have been restored to maintain the unique character of the building.
A huge open plan living space dominates the ground floor, complete with exposed rafters and flint walls. The sitting area has a wood burning stove, perfect for relaxing on cosy winter evenings, and sofas and chairs where everyone can congregate and spend time together. An LCD TV with DVD player has been provided for your entertainment.
At the other end of this room is a farmhouse dining table with seating for 10, and a well-equipped shaker style kitchen. An oil fired AGA and complementary electric AGA complete the country kitchen idyll, giving you plenty of cooking space to cater to a large group. You’ll also find a range of crockery, pans and cutlery, and a large fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. A utility room just off the kitchen contains a washing machine and drier.
Two good sized twin bedrooms are also found on the ground floor, as well as a bathroom with bath and walk-in shower, a boot room and a cloak room with WC.
On the first floor there are two king size bedrooms, complete with luxurious crisp linen bedding and their own en suite bathrooms. There is also a gallery sitting room overlooking the main living area downstairs. Here you’ll find comfy sofas, again arranged around a wood burning stove, as well as shelves of interesting books.
A final bedroom is situated in the attic space, up a wooden stairway. This is a twin room which is perfect for teenagers who want their own space.
The whole property has been furnished to the highest standard and decorated in calming, neutral tones. Free WiFi has been included.
The Garden
The main living room has three large doors which open onto the outside terrace. The large (mainly walled) garden has been beautifully landscaped with a lawn, gravelled sections, plant beds and a patio area, and open barns cover a table tennis area. Make the most of a sunny evening with the gas BBQ, and dine al fresco at the large wooden table with 10 chairs. There is plenty of space for parking up to five cars in the drive.
Please note Morston Barn does not accept dogs either inside or on the grounds of the property.
Morston Barn is one of our most popular large properties – book early to reserve your holiday.
