The ground floor accommodation is accessed from the entrance hallway with its practical, solid wood floors. To the left of the front door is the sumptuous sitting room with luxurious sofas clustered around the feature fireplace with its fabulous wood burning stove that is designed to be used open if desired. The room is bright and beautifully furnished and has a large TV and a full bookcase for cosy evenings at home in front of the fire after a day exploring the coast.

The room is bright and beautifully furnished and has a large TV and a full bookcase for cosy evenings at home in front of the fire after a day exploring the coast.
The fabulous main living room is the central, sociable hub of the house and is extremely spacious, with two sets of French doors, one leading out on to a large south facing terrace with outdoor table and chairs to seat 10, the other leading out to the back of the property giving access to a smaller terrace and the large log store. The stunning custom-built kitchen is beautifully fitted with excellent quality light grey painted units and solid granite work surfaces. A huge island unit contains plenty of storage containing a good selection of cookware and crockery and a breakfast bar. There is also a four oven electric AGA range for all cooking needs which features the 2 standard AGA hot plates but also, usefully a 4 place ceramic hob. The high end equipment doesn’t end there… next to the AGA is a wonderful integrated Meile bean to cup coffee machine, a real luxury for any coffee aficionados. There is a full sized integrated fridge and an integrated dishwasher as well as a separate fridge freezer in the utility room. Dividing the kitchen and the dining area is a sitting area with a comfy sofa facing a gorgeous integrated log burning stove with a large smart TV mounted on the wall above. The dining area features a huge solid oak dining table with comfortable seating for 10. This room really is the heart of the home.
Also off the hallway, with its stylish low level lighting, is large utility room which again features handmade kitchen furniture and granite worktops and a really useful home office which is essential if any of your party need a bit of peace and quite to do some work during your stay. There is also a ground floor WC off the inner hallway.
On the first floor are five good sized bedrooms. The master suite is a very large bedroom with a super-king sized bed and a large en-suite containing a large double sided bath and separate walk in shower, wash basin and wc. There are two zip and links bedrooms which can either be set up as super-king sized doubles of twins (please give at least 2 weeks notice of preference), a kingsized bedroom and a twin room. These bedrooms share two good sized family bathrooms one of which has a large double sided tub and separate walk in shower and the other is a shower room.
Orchard Houses superb landscaped gardens are a real selling point of the property. To the front is a large gravelled parking area and running adjacent to the drive and down the side of the property is a large area laid to lawn with mature shrubberies and trees. With the gate closed it is fully enclosed so there is plenty of room for children and dogs to safely play. A paved south facing terrace has plenty of outside dining furniture and makes for a wonderful space to enjoy BBQ’s on warm summer evenings.
Throughout Orchard House are delightful touches put in by the charming family who use it as their coastal hideaway. The rooms have been styled with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furnishings, ornaments and original paintings, and the whole feel of the house is laid back comfort. We are sure it will become a firm favourite with families and friends who love the idea of meeting up in the super family room which is the heart of Orchard House.
