‘The Cottage’ is a charming two bedroom property tucked away in the quintessential North Norfolk village of Saxthorpe. The cottage dates back to the late eighteenth century and has been sympathetically refurbished to create a characterful holiday home.

The warm sitting room is furnished with a comfortable three seat sofa, armchair and wooden rocking chair surrounding a small wood burning stove. Throws are provided for cosy winter evenings snuggled up by the fire! In the corner of the room, next to the wood burner, is a 24” LED TV with FreeSat and DVD player.

Make your way through the sitting room to the delightful little kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need when self catering including induction hob, oven, fridge slimline dishwasher, cafetières and a wooden table with chairs. Off the kitchen is a practical utility room with a freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. A door from the kitchen leads to a small seating area.

Up the staircase, the first floor has two beautiful bedrooms; one king-size and one twin room. The master bedroom is well proportioned and has wonderful exposed beams, ample storage and has been decorated in soft shades of pink. The second bedroom has two full sized single beds which are suitable for both children and adults. There is a chest of drawers for storage.

Both bedrooms share a bathroom on the ground floor with a shower over the bath, w.c. and wash basin. The bathroom has underfloor heating so is nice and warm all year round.

Just a short walk from the cottage is a pretty detached garden with a small lawn, lots of potted plants and a seating area for four guests making it the perfect place to dine al-fresco in the summer months. There is a shed for bike storage and next to this is a dedicated parking space for one car.

The tranquil village of Saxthorpe is the perfect base for exploring all North Norfolk has to offer. Just 4 miles from The Cottage is National Trust’s property Blicking Hall as well as the heritage village of Heydon with its tea shop and pub and Mannington Hall and Gardens just a short distance away. The village itself has endless footpaths to discover right from your doorstep!
