Tucked away off the pretty main street in the village, this well appointed, two bedroom modern cottage is a couple of minutes walk from the Quay and unusually, has parking for up to three cars. With a little south facing courtyard garden to the front and deceptively spacious accommodation within, we are sure this sweet cottage will become a firm favourite with many returning guests. Ideal for both small families or couples it has flexible accommodation to suit all and is equipped with Wi-fi for guests wishing to keep in touch with the outside world! The house has central heating throughout making it ideal not only for summer holidays but winter breaks as well
From the small entrance hall with a cloakroom and WC off, one enters the sitting room which is delightfully furnished with a lovely quality sofa and chairs clustered around the fire place with its wood burning stove. The owners have chosen a delicious palette of soft coastal hues and have incorporated the wonderful natural textures of wool, tweed and linen with the beautifully crafted soft furnishings. There is a TV with DVD and Free-sat for cosy quiet evenings at home snuggled up and an electric fire . The charming owners have sourced some really interesting art works that compliment their tasteful interior designs all over the house.
Glazed doors from the sitting room lead to the bright and light kitchen which is well fitted with an electric oven and induction hob, Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave all within cream painted units. At one end of the kitchen is the dining area with its round glass top table and chairs. Beyond the kitchen is the very light and comfortable garden room with a huge ‘L’ shaped sofa and chairs, an ideal spot for the children to watch their own choice of programmes on the TV and DVD in there. It is also a superb spot to sit and read or chat and offers all guests an alternative sitting area.
Stairs in the sitting room lead up to the two bedrooms and bathroom with beneath the attractive sloping ceilings. The bedroom at the front of the house has a king size bed and is dressed in pretty shades of beige and aqua. The bedroom at the back of the house has beds that can be either 2 singles or ‘zip and linked’ together to form a super king size bed. As with all the furnishings in the cottage, the beds are superb quality and are extremely comfortable. Both rooms share the fully tiled bathroom which has a shower above the bath.
Outside there are small courtyard sitting areas to the front and rear of the cottage with tables and chairs. The cottage is situated with its neighbouring properties in a private drive and there is dedicated parking for 2 cars directly in front of the cottage and an extra space to the side. Because parking is such an unusual ‘find’ for properties in the heart of the village plus the lovely accommodation we suggest you book soon to avoid missing out on this super coastal cottage.
