Point View is a deceptively spacious high end quality cottage in a wonderful location in Blakeney village. Comfortably sleeping six this property is furnished to a very high standard, concealing an elegant, “on-trend” interior behind it’s brick and flint façade and offers luxurious accommodation over three floors. Modern comforts like under floor heating, triple glazing, luxurious kitchen and bathrooms make it the perfect coastal retreat. Point View also boasts a lovely sun trap garden to the rear of the property, perfect for BBQs and al-fresco dining and to the front benefits from private off road parking for two cars.
“Point View was absolutely excellent and in the next few days we will be contacting you to book a longer stay there next year. There was everything we could have needed to make our stay welcome and complete (and much more besides). It certainly had the “wow” factor for us and has set the standard I’m sure for the future”: Guest feedback to Blakeney Cottage Company.
The property has a fabulous location. It enjoys marvelous panoramic views of Blakeney’s natural harbour, the Salt Marshes, Blakeney Point and out to sea – a designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Point View is nestled in a highly discreet location just off the Coast Road and a gentle couple of minutes stroll from Blakeney Quay and all of Blakeney’s amenities.
A real bonus feature of Point View is access to the Coastal Path that runs between Blakeney and Morston making it absolutely perfect for dog-walkers and children.
Inside, this property has a wonderful open layout with a very well equipped integrated kitchen featuring a large fridge-freezer, stainless steel electric double Neff fan oven with halogen hob, dishwasher, washer drier and microwave. There is also a large, stylish glass dining table in the kitchen that comfortably seats six.
Open to the kitchen/dining room is the lovely, comfortable sitting room with seating for six. A cast iron electric wood-burner gives the room a wonderful ambience. The soft furnishings are all high quality and the décor, including contemporary coastal oil paintings, is tastefully chosen to give a very cosy atmosphere. For the evenings (and the occasional rainy day!) there is a good sized LED TV with FreeView, a BluRay player, iPod doc, lots of board games, books and DVDs. There is also free WIFI and very usefully, given Blakeney’s patchy mobile reception, a landline telephone (complete with honesty box!) for guest use.
Off the sitting room is the spacious conservatory, which for ‘at home’ winter evenings benefits from under floor heating. This lovely extra living area adds a real sense of light and space to the property and opens out onto the professionally tended enclosed garden with table and chairs for six. This is a wonderful private oasis within which to enjoy sunny days (and nights) and share good food, wine and conversation in the fresh air.
Upstairs on the first floor are two spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom is a king-sized double room with wonderful views over Blakeney’s natural harbour and Blakeney Point beyond. This room has tasteful furnishings, a LED TV, dressing table and plenty of built in storage. This floor also boasts a good sized, sunny, twin bedroom which again has plenty of built in storage. The main family Porcelanosa bathroom on this floor has a spacious walk in shower and a large luxurious tub.
The entire second floor comprises a delightful en-suite bedroom with further stunning views over Blakeney Harbour, the Salt Marsh, on to Blakeney Point and out to sea; on a clear day you can see as far as the west hills at Wells-next-the-Sea. This bedroom enjoys an en-suite Porcelanosa shower room and as with all the bedrooms at Point View, it has very comfortable and pleasing furnishings with new high quality John Lewis beds. It also has a wall mounted LED TV, dressing table and plenty of built in storage.
Point View is a fantastic example of a high end holiday home in Blakeney. With panoramic coastal views, access to the Coastal Path, a fabulous location close to The Quay and all of Blakeney’s amenities together with a sun trap garden and private parking, it really offers everything you could possibly need when on holiday, whether as a couple, a group of friends or as a family, in North Norfolk. Point View is in some demand, so early booking is advisable
