One of Norfolk’s best-kept secrets, Sharrington enjoys a wonderfully peaceful setting while remaining just a short drive from the area’s most sought-after destinations. Returning home after a day spent exploring the coast, guests can enjoy one of the property’s most desirable features, a private four-seater hot tub. Set on the spacious patio overlooking the garden and neighbouring fields, it provides the perfect place to unwind beneath Norfolk’s famously big skies. Whether soaking in the bubbles on a sunny afternoon or enjoying a peaceful evening under the stars, the hot tub adds an extra touch of luxury to any stay.
The cottage itself has been finished to a high standard, and the ground floor has been cleverly opened up and extended to create two wonderfully spacious and light-filled living areas. Beautiful interiors, heritage-inspired colours and carefully curated furnishings combine to create a home that feels both stylish and welcoming.
At the heart of the property is the kitchen, where floor-to-ceiling glazing, vaulted ceilings and dual aspects flood the space with natural light. Hand-painted cabinetry, solid oak worktops and high quality appliances, including a Stoves range cooker, dishwasher, washer-dryer and large fridge freezer, ensure everything needed for a relaxing self-catering holiday. French doors open directly onto the patio, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor living.
The dining area is the perfect space for gathering together, centred around a large antique pine dining table. the generous sitting room offers two seating areas, making it ideal for families and groups. The main seating area is arranged around an open fireplace and features a sumptuous corner sofa, while a second cosy nook provides a separate space to relax with its own television, comfortable seating and charming collection of artwork.
Upstairs, three beautifully presented bedrooms offer accommodation for up to six guests. The main bedroom features a king-size bed, built-in storage and lovely views across the village. The second king-size bedroom overlooks the garden and surrounding countryside, while the twin room is perfect for children or additional guests. Completing the first floor is a stylish bathroom featuring striking Moroccan-inspired floor tiles, a large bath and quality shower.
Outside, the south-facing garden is a wonderful extension of the living space. Bordered by fields on two sides, it offers a sense of privacy and peace. A large lawn surrounds the mature apple tree from which the cottage takes its name, while the expansive terrace provides the perfect setting for al fresco dining, complete with barbecue and outdoor seating.
The property benefits from private parking for up to three cars.
