We are delighted that to have the opportunity to offer this quaint, character property situated in the heart of the beautiful coastal village of Weybourne in North Norfolk. Perfect for couples or small families Bird Cottage sits in a quiet spot near the church and just a short walk from the beach, The Ship Inn and the fabulous village shop. Guests can also walk to Weybourne station and get a steam train into either Holt or Sheringham.
The front door opens into a small entrance hallway off which are the large and welcoming sitting room and the dining room which leads through into the well-equipped kitchen. The sitting room is adorned with lovely ‘country cottage’ furniture including two gorgeous comfy sofas. The focal point of this room is the gorgeous log burning stove which is set in a small inglenook and makes this the perfect cosy space to relax in after a bracing winter walk on Weybourne beach! There is a good-sized smart TV and as with all of our properties benefits from free wifi and at Bird Cottage it is superfast so streaming is never a problem!
The small dining room is comfortably big enough for the table which will seat four and features a large framed Ordinance Survey map of Norfolk to help you plan your explorations. The modern cottage kitchen is well equipped with all of the crockery and cooking equipment one could possibly need plus a Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. It also has a fan-assisted double oven with a ceramic hob. Out from the kitchen is access to the good-sized enclosed garden which is a mixture of paving and shingle.
Upstairs are two bedrooms and a fabulous bathroom. The master bedroom room is tastefully decorated in a continuation of the ‘scandi’ theme and has a superb king-sized bed. In the second bedroom, there are two singled beds. The high-quality bathroom has been ingeniously configured to allow room for a large bath-tub and separate walk-in shower. There is a separate WC on the ground floor.
Bird Cottage is a superb retreat for couples or small families and has become a firm favourite with our discerning guests. It is within a short walk of all of the village amenities including the super pub (with its selection of over 100 gins!), cafe, the fantastic village shop and the fabulous steam train station from which you can visit either of the nearby towns of Sheringham or Holt. Both are well worth visiting; the Georgian market town of Holt with its variety of independent shops and the charming seaside town of Sheringham with its Blue Flag beach and renowned golf course! The lovely unspoilt beach at Weybourne is only a 10-minute walk from the door.
