With a wonderfully stylish open-plan living area, three bedrooms and two bathrooms this gorgeous property is opened up to the eaves throughout giving a fantastic feeling of light and space. Character features such as the exposed beams throughout and the brick and flint wall in the main living area give an architectural interest and add to the stylish, modern feel of the property.
The main living area of Bixes Barn really is a wonderful space. The length of one side of the room is part-glazed with a large door in the middle that opens on to the BBQ terrace. The fact there are so many windows makes this room beautifully light and bright and opened up to the eaves with the original beams exposed and engineered wooden floor give it a feeling of air and space.
The stylish, modern kitchen with white units incorporates a dishwasher, fridge and freezer under a hard compound work top make it a space that is as practical as it is stylish. A feature we love is the 15 bottle wine cooler – an essential appliance in any high-end holiday let! There is also a digital radio in the kitchen.
Directly adjacent to the kitchen the dining area features a good sized hard wood table and bench with four contemporary, gloss white chairs meaning it will comfortably seat six.
The seating area has a huge, comfortable four seat sofa and two stylish armchairs all arranged around the fabulous feature log burner and large LED smart T.V. The low-level lighting in this area, mixed with the comfy soft furnishings and superb log burner make this space lovely and cosy, perfect for hunkering down on winters evenings with a nice bottle of wine and a good movie!
The large dual aspect master bedroom has a luxurious super-king 6-foot double bed and a fantastic en-suite bathroom with a large bathtub and separate walk in shower.
There is a good size twin bedroom and a single (with full size pull out trundle bed) which share the large family bathroom which has a shower above the large tub.
Bixes Barn has underfloor heating throughout with separate controllable thermostats for each room so it is as warm and cosy in winter as it is light, bright and airy in summer.
Externally Bixes has a private BBQ terrace directly outside the main living area and also has the benefit of a large wooded garden area which is shared with the neighbouring property Taylors Barn. Both Bixes and Taylors have more private areas of this space but the area as a whole is communal. There is also a lawned area to the front of the property perfect for ball games.
A fabulous addition to this family friendly property is the huge play barn which includes, table tennis, Fussball, pool, darts and a play area for younger children. This barn is shared with the neighbouring Taylors Barn.
Bixes Barn sits in a superb central position in beautiful North Norfolk. Away from the hustle and bustle, but within a few miles of the popular coastal villages of North Norfolk, the award winning beaches at Wells and Holkham and the superb market towns of Holt and Burham Market. It is also well placed for trips to places such as the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve (the home of BBC’s Springwatch program) the historical stately homes of Blickling and Felbrigg or a fun day out at Fakenham Races (Horse and Camel racing!) to name just a few. There are also numerous beautiful walks accessible directly from the barn.
