Granary Loft

A stunning loft conversion in a wonderful location near The Quayside in the popular coastal village of Blakeney. Granary Loft provides superb open plan accommodation for two people with fabulous views out to the sea over the salt marshes and benefits from having a private parking space (a rarity in Blakeney).

One enters the property from a covered lobby into the ground floor hall with oak floor which has plenty of space for boots, shoes and bags etc. Stairs lead up into the wonderfully spacious living area which is open up to the rafters and has windows on three aspects all contributing to the lovely light atmosphere. Superb views out over the salt marshes can be seen from four of the windows.

The owner has decorated the loft to make the most of the space available and her use of colour and texture in the interior design complements the airy feel. Glass furnishings including the round dining table and desk mirror the architectural use of glass dividing the staircase and mezzanine area and look crisp and sparkling within the setting. Two comfortable sofas are arranged around a faux electric wall ‘fire’ to add ambiance on chilly evenings watching the large flat screen Freesat TV with Dvd and surround sound system. To complete the technical package there is free wi-fi throughout the property. The background heat is provided by electric storage heaters.

The well designed kitchen area includes a large fridge with ice compartment, halogen hob and combi- microwave, oven and grill. There is a dishwasher and a washer/drier all integrated within the shiny white kitchen cupboards.

Also on this floor is the bathroom, fully tiled with a really good shower over the bath which is designed especially for this purpose with an enlarged squared end with glass shower screen. The bathroom also has a large cupboard containing all the utility items one may need.

Stairs lead to the galleried bedroom area with a really comfortable 6ft bed that can be split in to single beds on request. Velux windows with integrated blinds afford another great view towards Cley beach. There is a slim, fitted wardrobe and similar shelved cupboard for clothes storage.

The owner has designed and furnished Granary Loft with great flair and given a lot of thought when choosing the fixtures and fittings to create a wonderful ‘romantic retreat’ for their guests. *The annual Blakeney fun fair takes place on the Quay over 1 week in August. Please note, we are unable to confirm the date this will take place as this is organised around the tide times on ‘The Carnser’ car park.
