Are these the best coastal views in Blakeney? We certainly think so and are absolutely delighted to be able to share them with our guests at High Tides!
High Tides occupies the premier position in the award winning conversion of the large Georgian granary situated on Blakeney Quay. It is the only property available for holiday lets on The Quay that offers such stunning views from its elevated sitting room windows as well as coastal views from almost every other room in the property. Unusually for a property in the heart of Blakeney there is also parking available for one car.
This spacious first floor property is accessed from a covered entrance area leading to an internal staircase. The front door opens into the bright, newly fitted kitchen with oak work surfaces and adjoining dining area. The kitchen is very well equipped with brushed stainless steel electric double ovens and halogen hob, fully integrated dishwasher,
fridge/freezer etc. There is also a wall mounted LCD TV with freeview meaning no vital programmes are missed! Just off the kitchen is a separate utility room with washing
machine, tumble drier and microwave as well as another sink which is very useful. Both of these rooms have masses of practical fitted storage space.
From the kitchen a long hallway leads down to the stunning sitting room. Off this hallway are the double and twin bedrooms and one of the bathrooms. Both bedrooms have wonderful views towards Cley across the salt marshes, the twin room has zip and link beds so can be made into a 5ft double on request if 3 couples wish to stay. They share a luxurious newly fitted bathroom with a lovely large
shower over the bath, like the rest of the property all of the fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality. The bathroom is finished in stylish white and seashell coloured mosaic tiles.
The sitting room really does have the ‘wow’ factor. It has wonderful proportions and its double height show off the magnificent original beams. The views are breathtaking with a big bay window and window seat looking out to sea over The Quay and the salt marshes. On a clear day there is a breathtaking 180 degree panoramic view
from ‘Abraham’s Bosom’ at Wells on the left to Salthouse beach on the right. The view is ever changing with the different states of the tide and times of the day, ending quite often with a final dazzling display with the sun setting over the sea. There are French doors opening onto a small balcony overlooking the salt marshes towards Cley beach, an ideal spot to sit outside with a drink at the little bistro style table to enjoy the sea air.
The room is beautifully furnished with pieces appropriate to a coastal hideaway; the soft furnishings are all finished in designer fabrics with pretty patterns. There are plenty of books, games and a flat screen TV with freeview and DVD for cosy evenings in. The full double glazing, excellent insulation and efficient electric heating mean that guests can enjoy the views any time of year without having to go outside in winter winds!
Stairs from the sitting room lead up to the delightful master bedroom with its own en-suite shower room. Situated on
a galleried floor overlooking the sitting room this most attractive bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobes, dressing table and chair with a flat screen TV and DVD. The en-suite has a walk in shower, WC, bidet and washbasin with plenty of shelving for storage.
We are certain guests will love High Tides luxurious interior and be stunned by the superb views. High Tides is ideal for two or three couples to share, or as a family holiday base and we are happy to offer couples wishing to use just the master bedroom for a romantic retreat at a reduced rate during low season.
*Guests with children, please note the style of the balcony shown in the photographs. The rails of which run horizontally with gaps in between, meaning the balcony is unsuitable for little ones without parental supervision.
