Maple Cottage is a beautifully furnished two bedroom cottage situated just a 1 minute walk from the heart of the hugely sought after Georgian market town of Holt with its plethora of independent shops, cafes and eateries. Sumptuous interiors designed by Alexandra Johnson Interior Design, and high quality fixtures and furnishings make this gorgeous property a truly special place to stay. It offers guests the chance to fully relax in luxury accommodation, in a perfect location not only for the town of Holt but also the numerous nearby coastal villages.

Maple Cottage has a modern and fully equipped kitchen, with lovely stone flooring and high quality Quartz worktops. The AEG and Bosch appliances are integrated and include an electric fan oven, gas hob, slim-line dishwasher and large fridge and freezer. The thoughtful owners are keen cooks and this is reflected in the range and quality of cookware available. A part glazed door from the kitchen leads out to the pretty garden which is paved in Indian stone. The focal point of the garden is the beautiful Acer tree that gives the property its name. There is a large summer house at the bottom of the garden which is left empty so guests can use it all year round! There is also a small out house in the garden which is home to the washing machine and tumble drier.

Back inside and the sitting room offers a luxury space to truly relax with a large comfortable L-shaped sofa from Made and a retro leather occasional chair making the room incredibly comfortable. There is a good sized Smart TV with FreeSat cleverly tucked away in a stylish unit. This room also features a lovely antique log-burner making it incredibly cosy and warm in the winter months. The dining room sits in between the kitchen and the sitting room and makes a lovely space to enjoy meals together after a busy day exploring the North Norfolk Coast. This room also features a useful desk should you need to catch up on some work whilst you are away. There is also a good sized family bathroom on the ground floor which has a large bathtub and separate shower.

The gorgeous master bedroom has real high-quality boutique hotel feel to it and features a king-size zip and link bed and a large chest of drawers and a stylish clothes rail for hanging space. The owners have cleverly fitted in a small en-suite shower room with a walk in rain shower. The smaller of the two bedrooms also has a king-sized zip and link bed, a built in wardrobe and dressing table. The flexibility of accommodation offered by having two zip and link beds is very useful and means that the property can be set up with 2 kingsized beds, 1 kingsize and 2 single beds or 4 single beds! Please give us at least two weeks notice if you have a preference. As standard the property is set up as it is in the photos.

Holt is a charming Georgian market town full of independent shops, art galleries, antique shops, specialist bars and places to eat, and is perfectly situated to make the most of all that North Norfolk has to offer both the stately homes and parks inland and the stunning coastline at Cley, Blakeney, Weybourne and Salthouse. It also has a fabulous monthly Sunday market which is usually on the first Sunday of the month.  We would recommend taking the steam train from Holt to Sheringham and back – a lovely day trip to the coast without the need to drive.

Maple Cottage truly offers everything small families or couples could wish for with is luxurious and stylish interiors and pretty courtyard garden, proximity to the centre of Holt and the fact the coast is so easily accessible. We adore this wonderful little property and are sure our discerning guests will too!

  • Maple Cottage has a designated parking space in Letheringsett Hill car park which is around a 5 minute walk from the property. Guests can pull up outside for loading and unloading.
