Just a stone’s throw from Blakeney Quay, Mulberry Cottage is a gorgeous little bolthole that has had a stunning, stylishmake over by interior designer Alexandra Johnson and is sumptuously furnished with a wonderful selection of modern and antique furniture and artwork. The eclectic scheme that runs throughout this one bedroomed hideaway on the North Norfolk coast features bright Swedish style fabrics from Vanessa Arbuthnott along with quirky accessories to create a truly unique finish.

One enters the property through the pretty little enclosed courtyard garden in to the wonderful, open-plan living area which is luxuriously furnished. It has a superb log burning stove which, along with the central heating, ensure the cottage is wonderfully warm for cosy, relaxing winter evenings in. The adjoining kitchen area is very well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and electric fan oven with halogen hob etc. There is also a pretty dining area and a good sized shower room on the ground floor.

Up the period cottage staircase is the large double bedroom with king-sized bed and a dressing table that sits next to the large window the views from which offer glimpses of the Sea, Salt Marsh and Blakeney Point. The beautifully styled second bedroom features a full-size single bed making it ideal for a child or adult. The first floor also features WC.

It is also rare for a small cottage so close to The Quay in Blakeney to have any outside space at all so Mulberry Cottages’ pretty, enclosed courtyard garden is a real bonus, perfect for alfresco dining or a relaxing glass of wine by candlelight as dusk falls.
