Set within the tranquil grounds of 17th-century Sharrington Hall, Shell is a calm and beautifully curated retreat for four… a quiet homage to the Shell Gallery that once occupied the west barn. With its soft palette of oyster, silver and taupe, and subtle seaside motifs echoed in lampshades and mirrors throughout, the cottage captures a gentle sense of place and history.

Inside, Shell feels peaceful and harmonious. The hand-built painted kitchen pairs beautifully with an antique French refectory table and chairs… inviting long breakfasts and slow, unhurried suppers. Through an open archway, the sitting room is cosy and generous, with an L-shaped sofa, a large open fireplace, and a log-burning stove… the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the coast.

There are two en-suite bedrooms, each with their own quiet charm. One features a European king four-poster bed, an antique chest, and tall doors that open into a spacious bathroom with cast iron roll-top bath, basin and WC. The second can be arranged as either a super king or twin, with matching doors leading to a bathroom with walk-in shower tiled in soft oyster pebbles, basin and WC.

Shell is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, with free Wi-Fi, Freesat TV, DVD player, Bluetooth radio, dishwasher, hairdryer, central heating, and access to shared laundry facilities. Towels, linens, and logs for the fire are all thoughtfully provided.

Outside, a private terrace with table and chairs opens onto the shared garden… with views stretching across open fields to the front, the Hall and west barn behind, and the Hall green to the side. Off-road parking is included, and the location couldn’t be better… just a short drive from the charming villages of Holt, Blakeney and Cley, or a walk along the coast at Morston with a stop for fresh oysters by the shore.
