This charming retreat is perfect for couples or a family of three wishing to relax and enjoy the natural wonders of North Norfolk as well as Blakeney’s traditional pubs, restaurants and boutique stores.

The lovely open living space incorporates a sitting room bathed in natural light with a traditional and sympathetically restored sash window to the front aspect. The fabulous cast iron wood burning stove is a real treat in the winter months and there is a comfortable dining table as well as a bookcase filled with a collection of good reading material. The property benefits from an array of traditional features reflecting its period character which are complemented by the use of traditional materials and Farrow & Ball paint.

The newly fitted integrated kitchen consists of a Bosch electric oven with a four ring halogen hob, fridge, washing machine, Russell Hobbs appliances, Roberts radio wooden work-tops and hard wearing quarry tiles. Through from the kitchen, the large bathroom includes a full-sized bathtub and superb ‘rain style’ shower head as well as underfloor heating.

Leading from the sitting room you will find an easily accessible staircase which takes you onto a hallway where the two lovely bedrooms are accessed. Outside, this beautiful cottage benefits from a small outbuilding to store and dry wetsuits, bikes, crabbing gear, fishing rods, wellies or other such items. To the front of the property, there is a lovely antique bench to enjoy the sunshine with a glass of wine or fresh coffee from the local delicatessen just a few yards up the road.

Sitting at the end of one of the prettiest lokes in the desirable coastal village of Blakeney, Shell Cottage is perfectly situated just a short walk from Blakeneys famous Quay and close to all of the village amenities. For those who love walking or bird watching, the cottage provides easy access to the famous coastal path and salt marshes as well as the famous Quayside. For foodies or those simply seeking pure relaxation, the cottage is surrounded by traditional pubs, restaurants and delicatessen of this historic North Norfolk village. The fabulous bistro/restaurant The Moorings is 20 metres down the road and we highly recommend booking in there as the food is mainly locally sourced and superb!
