We are delighted to be able to include Sparrow Hall in our portfolio of beautiful holidays homes in North Norfolk. Luxurious accommodation sleeping 8 guests in 4 bedrooms which are all en-suite, Sparrow Hall sits in some of the most wonderful grounds one could imagine with beautifully planted gardens, a woodland area and beyond a huge meadow to explore. This fabulous property has been completely renovated to a very high standard and now offers beautifully interior designed, spacious interiors in a magical location just a few minutes drive to the coast.

The ground floor is accessed from the large entrance hallway with its practical stone flooring and opening in to the superb kitchen/dining room. This fabulous room is the central hub of the house and is extremely spacious, light and bright a set of French doors leading out onto the terrace area of the wonderful garden. The superb quality Neptune kitchen area is beautifully fitted with painted units with quartz work surfaces and finished with splash back tiles by ‘Fired Earth’. A large island unit with hardwood top contains more storage and has a useful breakfast bar, there is a smart LED TV mounted on the wall. There is also a large range cooker for all cooking needs. Just off the beautiful kitchen is a large  antique dining table which comfortably seats 8.

Through from the kitchen/dining room and in to the oldest section of the house is and beautiful inner hallway with it original wooden beams and staircase. Off this hallway is the ‘snug’ which is dominated by an impressive inglenook fire place with its antique fireside fender seats and large ‘Clearview’ log-burner. This room has a comfortable L-shaped sofa, two armchairs and a large LED smart TV making it the ideal spot to relax in front of a good film or sporting event. It is also a great room for children to enjoy allowing the grown-ups relax with a drink in the formal sitting room in peace! Also off the characterful inner hallway is the ground floor bedroom with its kingsized bed and stylish en-suite shower room.

The formal sitting room is off to the left of the the entrance hallway and, as mentioned above, is the perfect space for after dinner drinks with two comfy sofas and two arm chairs clustered around the gorgeous original open fireplace. This room is vaulted so has fantastic high ceilings and is double aspect with large glazed doors leading out on to the terrace area meaning it is as bright and airy on summer evenings as it is warm and cosy in the winter. Also off the entrance hallway is a large utility room and a WC.

On the first floor are three good sized bedrooms all set under the sloping eaves with their exposed beams which give great character and large windows which mean all of the bedrooms are lovely and light and bright for such a historic property. The master bedroom is vast with a lovely antique king-sized brass framed bed and plenty of  integrated storage. It has a fabulous, large en-suite shower room with both a lovely claw foot bath and walk in shower, wash basin and WC and is very light with dual aspect Velux windows. Also on this floor is another good sized kingsized bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin room which contains a gorgeous antique pine beds and has an en-suite with drencher shower above the bath.

The outdoor space available at Sparrow Hall really help it stand apart from other similarly sized high-end holiday lets. Immediately outside the property is a large terrace area with lovely herbaceous borders, perfect for BBQ’s and alfresco dining. Up a couple of steps from the terrace is the more formal garden, mainly laid to lawn the herbaceous borders continue mixing beautiful wild flowers with the likes of colourful Foxgloves, Crocosmia and Lysimachia. Beyond this is the tennis court which the owners are keen to point out is usable but a bit shabby, perfect for a knock about but not ideal for serious matches! The south side of the garden merges into a beautiful private wild woodland punctuated by paths and the odd glade with tall grass and wild flowers. Continue on and the woods open up in to a huge private wild meadow. This meadow has been left to nature and is full of tall grasses and wildflowers, it really is an ecological paradise. The meadow has rough worn paths running through it and is the most wonderful place to walk and for younger children to explore.

Sparrow Hall is a superb, high-end four bedroom four bathroom character property. The rooms have been beautifully styled with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furnishings, ornaments and beautiful paintings throughout… the whole feel of the house is one of laid back comfort. Its vast grounds are a wonderful and unique feature of the property and really set it apart from the rest. We are sure it will become a firm favourite for groups of families and friends looking for a stay in North Norfolk full of peace, nature and as far away from the hustle and bustle of every day life as could be imagined.
