The Crows nest is a stylish apartment in a superb location next to The Quay in the heart of Blakeney village with lovely views.
This super coastal apartment is situated literally a stone’s throw from beautiful Blakeney Quay and a short stroll to all village amenities. The Guildhall has apartments on three levels with The Crow’s Nest having good views from its top floor position across to the Georgian granary opposite and down to the Quay and Salt marshes beyond. The main living area offers a superb vantage point for spotting birds on the marshes and for watching the tides flow in and out of the harbour.
The Crows Nest has an amazing light and bright open plan living area. Three huge Velux windows are set into the sloped roof on one side, opening almost to floor level, giving the room a very spacious feel. The delightful owners have decorated the sitting area in a jaunty nautical style with comfy sofas and foot stool and coastal styled cushions. For quiet evenings in there is a TV with freeview, free wifi as well as books, games and jigsaws.
Between the sitting area and the kitchen is a round glass dining table with wicker chairs seating four. The pretty kitchen is fitted with cream painted units below a wood work surface and includes an electric oven and halogen hob, freestanding fridge, freezer, small dishwasher and all the usual accessories; microwave, toaster, kettle etc. Continuing the colour scheme are jolly Cath Kidson Crockery and mugs and other red colour accents.
The master bedroom has a built in wardrobe and the most wonderful views over ancient Mariners Hill in Blakeney and beyond to the Salt Marshes at Cley. The twin bedroom shares the same view over the roof tops to the salt marshes beyond.
The two bedrooms share a wonderful, shower room with wc, washbasin and superb ‘rain style’ shower head and separate handle attachment.
The flat is heated by invisible warm air heating with controls in every room and the bathroom has an electric heated towel rail making the Crow’s Nest a cosy winter retreat for couples as well as a great summer holiday base for a small family.
Whilst there is no allocated parking, there is free on street parking immediately outside as well as free parking at the village hall a few minutes’ walk away. Overnight parking is not permitted on the carnser opposite for tidal reasons.
*The annual Blakeney fun fair takes place on the Quay over 1 week in August. Please note, we are unable to confirm the date this will take place as this is organised around the tide
The velux windows are opened from the top. However, as some windows open down to a low level (see photos) the apartment may not be suitable for families with young children.
No storage facilities for bikes, buggies, boards etc’
