Thursford Barn, located in the quintessential, picturesque village of Thursford, is a contemporary barn conversion, designed in a unique, Scandinavian style with two bedrooms and an open plan, stylish living space. Tucked away down a quiet country lane, Thursford Barn is ideally located for exploring the beautiful North Norfolk countryside and nearby coastline, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The open plan living space provides comfortable, Scandi style living with all the modern comforts a small family or group of friends would require in self-catering accommodation. The large, floor-to-ceiling windows ensure natural light floods into the living space, with added bespoke built shutters for privacy. This simple interior space also features exposed rafters, oak floorboards and whitewashed brick and flint walls, which add a modern touch to the traditional brick and flint that is so familiar to North Norfolk. 

There is a comfortable seating area, with a sofa and a reading chair, perfect to sit and read the books provided by the owner. For cosy evenings in, there is a Smart TV which is Netflix enabled (please note, you will need a personal login to access Netflix) and an Apple HomePod which provides Apple Music, Podcasts and Radio via voice control. 

The kitchen is well equipped, boasting an electric Aga** with hotplates and induction hob, integrated dishwasher and washing machine, De Longhi coffee machine, and an under-counter fridge with freezer compartment. The owner also provides a Robot Vac, just press the button and sit back and relax! A pine wood dining table and chairs add to the sociability of this property and provide the perfect base for enjoying meals together.

At one end of the room is a white tongue and groove wall, with discreet and clever shelving, that features ‘secret’ doors leading to the bathroom, downstairs bedroom and steps leading to the upstairs bedroom space. 

The downstairs bedroom is a twin bedroom, stylishly renovated in birch ply, exposed beams and whitewashed brick and flint. A large window with bespoke shutters looks out onto a selection of trees and shrubs.

The downstairs bathroom is finished in white cladding and whitewashed brick and flint and has a full-sized bath and handheld/mixer shower.

The upstairs bedroom space is similarly built to the twin room, in birch ply and is designed to accommodate a double bed that just slots into the room, providing a cosy and private space. Over-looking the greenery outside, this is a quirky yet relaxing area. 

At the front of the Barn, there is a brick bench. This looks onto an area of garden that forms part of a larger space that incorporates two other neighbouring gardens. Please note, this garden is not enclosed and is bound by hedge and bamboo planted area, with a right of way to the cottages at the end of the shared garden. The owner of Thursford Barn provides an outside table and 4 chairs, perfect for al-fresco dining and relaxing during the summer months. There is also a small portable BBQ for your use. 

Thursford Barn’s level garden is largely lawn and has a small outhouse. There is a gravel pathway that runs alongside the Barn, on the other side of which is a space for two cars. 

This is a contemporary and unique property, which is perfectly situated and offers modern, self-catering accommodation whilst maintaining the traditional charm of a North Norfolk barn conversion.
