Situated in a fantastic location close to Blakeney Quay, we are delighted to be able to offer our guests the opportunity to stay in this absolutely superb four bedroom, three bathroom Georgian property finished in the traditional Norfolk style of flint and brick.

Sitting in large, private, fully enclosed gardens within a stone’s throw of the gorgeous salt marsh North Norfolk is so famous for, the coastal path as well as all of the village amenities and The Quay, this well proportioned house is full of character and has recently been extensively renovated and stylishly redecorated to the highest of standards by its owner and local interior designer Alexandra Johnson.

Westgate House is extremely well equipped, featuring everything one would expect in high-end self-catering accommodation; its spacious kitchen-diner is the perfect heart to the home with large island unit and all of the mod-cons one would expect in a high end self-catering holiday home. This leads on to a separate, huge utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space to put coats and boots after a walk across the marshes! You can also access the upstairs here via the back staircase. Next to the utility room is a fully tiled wet room with shower, WC and basin.

Back in the kitchen, the dining area has a large oak dining table, seating 8 comfortably, which looks over the pretty enclosed garden through large French doors and is open to the sitting room.

The sitting room is a stunning, light and airy dual aspect room, which exudes style and taste with a high quality finish. With its classic Georgian proportions, the traditional décor is accented with quirky touches and beautiful natural linen fabrics. With comfortable seating and large buttoned footstool in the centre of the room, we can envisage plenty of cosy family nights in with a board game in front of the fire or afternoons curled  up in an armchair with a book! The good sized LED Smart TV and BluRay player are cleverly tucked away in a cupboard, which also houses a good collection of games and DVDs.

Upstairs, the main landing leads to three attractively appointed bedrooms; a small double bedroom with a gorgeous traditional French rattan bed plus dressing table, a large duel aspect bedroom with zip and link beds, wardrobe and dressing table, and a spacious master bedroom with king size French painted rattan bed, wardrobe and dressing table. Also leading off the main landing is a large and practical family bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin. (Please note standard sized stair gates do not fit at this property.)

Leading on to the back landing from the Master bedroom, there is another shower room and the fourth bedroom; a fun coastal themed room with two full size single beds.

Outside, Westgate House’s large enclosed garden is a real rarity so close to the quay – it has a paved patio seating area that is sure to be well used in the summer months for barbecues and al-fresco dining, and a well kept lawn, surrounded by mature trees,
leading on to the gated gravel driveway with space for parking 3 to 4 cars. The Coastal public footpath across the salt marshes is just opposite the driveway, so perfect for a brisk walk along the coast to neighbouring village, Morston.

Westgate House really does have everything you need for a relaxing and fun, family getaway. We are certain it will become a firm favourite with our discerning guests so encourage booking early to avoid disappointment!
