Reviews
Gill, November 2025We visited at the end of November and arrived late afternoon. House felt cold and hollow on arrival, despite radiators set automatically to 18 degrees. After turning the radiators up in the main rooms the cottage soon began to get warmer and over the next few hours the cottage gradually came to life.
Kitchen well equipped and house was spotless.
It’s a lovely ‘hickeldy pickledy’ old house that has plenty of room, old single glazed windows and a quirky plumbing system that all add to its charm.
In November we always found parking at the top of the twitten in the road behind the Main Street. ( head for the village car park and just keep going)
Too tip – take some basic provisions as there was no welcome pack or shop in village.
Kate, November 2025Such a beautiful cottage. Very well equipped, super comfy beds and the location is perfect.
